How My Crafting Journey Began

Welcome to Cross Country Crafts website.  I am Donna, owner of Cross Country Crafts.  I live in the rural area of Rayville, Louisiana with my husband of 13 years, Duke.  After many years of working to grow someone else's business, I decided to use talents within to create vintage gifts.  Given the opportunity to pursue my desires, I took outdated objects and used them to create useful products for the home as well as for personal pleasure.  I began creating door decorations in 2017 by using old lariats and bicycle spokes.  As supplies from thrift stores and such began to exceed my home space, it was time to expand my horizons and build a shop where I could create and enjoy doing what gives me joy.  Since that day, my inventory of supplies and creations has expanded beyond my dreams. 

From a Facebook page, to going on the road to show these hand-made creations, I have truly been 'blessed' by God.  To not only be able to obtain resources necessary to create; but to be blessed with such God-given talents.  I am so thankful to God for His gifts to me.  I enjoy more than anything to see smiles on customers faces and hear them express true gratitude for creations made in my shop.  This is where my motivation begins. 

Opening an online store has been a desire for many years.  However, fear of the unknown as well as the state of today's economy have held me back.  For 2024, I decided to take the leap and trust God again to guide my steps.
